Denounce of NAR - New Left Current

The New Left Current denounces the murder in cold blood of the 15th young boy, Alexis Grigoropoulos, by the special police forces on Saturday evening at Exarchia. This is not an isolated action nor an accidental moment. The government of Karamanlis has in full the political responsibility.
The government had already prepared its suppressive forces: With the legalization of the use of fire arms against the students’ demonstrations. With the permanent orgy of suppression against the demonstrations and rallies of both the youth and the workers. With the murders of the immigrants. With the surrounding of Exarchia by the police forces and the alteration of the centre of Athens (as well of other cities) in an occupied territory zone by the Riot Police (MAT) against the “enemy people”. Both the government and the state prepare their “iron heel” in order to shatter the social resistances that heighten due to the tremendous attack the capital has unleash against the working people trying to overcome its crisis. The EU with the anti-terror law, the Shengen Treaty and the fortress Europe forms the context for the uprising of suppression. The system aims at shield itself towards a new rise of social struggles, promoting a new wave of lay-offs, a new poverty and the proposals of Michalos for half work - half life, the terrorism of capital in the factories and the police’ s in the streets. We have no delusion for their supposedly dispensation of justice of the system. Just a few months ago we all saw the “punishment” of the cops that tortured the Cypriote student in Thessalonica. The punishment will be political, will be given by the labor movement and will be hard!
The government of Karamanlis murders! The government that oppresses peoples’ and youth’ s rights, the government of the permanent repression, must be overthrown. None tolerance to PASOK that consents with the anti-popular policy. An immediate reaction is required. The massive, popular movement must come out in the streets. With rallies, demonstrations, occupations, with the co-ordination of the unions, of the youth associations, of the students, with an anti-capitalist Left front and the common action of the left forces, for a political mass movement that will overthrow the orgy of the state and governmental violence, of the anti-popular incomes policy, of the privatizations, of the reactionary directives of Lisbon-Bologna, and of the anti-labor attack in all.

In order to overthrow the government of New Democracy from a mass popular movement, from a left perspective, to defeat the ruling politics (which is in accordance with the directives of the EU and the Association of Greek Industrialists/SEV), and the PASOK who whishes to take over the administration. For a fighting working - popular opposition, that will stand against all anti-popular governments, manage to crack their policy, succeed in several labour-popular achievements and open the path for the overthrowing of capitalism.

The system that sacrifices 15 year old boys due to the government violence, must sink as much as it can.
For a society that the youth can walk free in the streets and live at liberty!

We demand:
· Immediate resign of Pavlopoulos - Chinofotis, severe exemplary punishment of the guilties, immediate release of all the arrested people of the demonstrations.
· Down with the government of the murderers of the New Democracy
· Immediate disarmament of police, the occupation forces must leave the center of Athens. Dissolution now of the Riot Police, down with the street spy cameras.
· Overthrow of the anti-terrorist law and of all the reactionary repressing measures.
· For a movement for the modern freedoms against capitalism that it kills (in our work, in the war, in the city) and the modern parliamentary totalitarianism.

EVERYBODY IN THE STREETS! – TO BREAK THE STATE TERROR!
